Picture speaks a thousand words.
But it is not 100% true at all.
Memories don't change so? But it can fade slowly as long as you manage to find another one that can give a deeper impact or we can put it in a easier word, impression?
So I don't really give a fuck about memories as time allow people to forget past, be it a good or bad one. 
Get this in mind.
